Networking and Remote Operation
SpringCharts operates as a client-server application over a
standard network.

The diagram above shows a client on a local area network and a client
operating remotely over the internet. A remote office can access the
SpringCharts Server in any of several ways:
 |
A VPN (Virtual Private Network) provided by inexpensive
hub/router hardware. |
 |
A VPN provided by a server operating system, |
 |
Dial Up Networking provided by a server operating
system, or |
 |
Windows Terminal Server. |
The remote clients can have wired or wireless access
depending on inexpensive local hardware. The remote performance of
SpringCharts is excellent, even with the Dial Up Networking
configuration.
