Office Calendar
The Office
Calendar is pictured in the center of the SpringCharts Main Window.
A patient is added to the Office Calendar by selecting an
Open Button (
)
at the desired time. The Edit Appointment dialog box will appear:

We selected Choose Patient and followed the
patient selection process. (More on this later in the Patient Selection
Tutorial.) The result is the following dialog
box:

Adding information in the Note
field and selecting Done puts the patient in the Office
Calendar.

Patient Tracker
The Patient
Tracker is visible to all users and lets everyone know where each patient in
the practice is located. When a patient checks in , the receptionist need only
select their name in the Office Calendar and the Edit Appointment dialog box
shown above appears. The user is offered a number of choices, but for
now let's select Track Pt, which produces the following dialog
box:

Selecting
Waiting Room puts Betsy Ness in the Patient Tracker
and notes her location.
Our Main Window now looks like this:

When Betsy Ness is placed in Exam
Room 3, any user can select her name in the Patient Tracker
and the Edit Tracker dialog box appears:

Selecting Exam 3, Ready and
clicking each of the six boxes in the upper right hand corner of the
Edit Tracker dialog box gives the following result:

For illustration purposes we
turned on all six colored flags for Betsy Ness when we selected the six
boxes. These six boxes replace the flags frequently found outside
examination rooms, and they can have any meaning the practice chooses to
assign to them.

Messages pane
The
Messages pane is unique to the user who is logged on to this client,
so these messages are this user's :"inbox". To read a message, one
need only select it. We selected Patti Adams and following window was
presented:

There is a full Tutorial on
SpringCharts Messaging at the Messages
Tutorial. For now, we will just note three key points:
-
Messages can be
easily retrieved from the Main Window,
-
The user can begin composing a
Message by selecting the Message bar on the Main Window or
from a large number of the windows throughout SpringCharts, and
-
The Message
system is robust and very much integrated into all functions of
SpringCharts and can be seen with all of the information and
options offered in the screen above.
