Adding a Patient to SpringCharts

From the Main Window, click New > New Patient.

The following screen opens:

Enter the patient's First Name, middle initial (MI), Last Name, and Date of Birth.  These four fields are required in early versions of SpringCharts. Beginning with Version 6.5, MI is no longer required.  The practice city and state are default values that can be changed.

The Copy Patient button in the lower right hand corner allows insertion of an existing patient's name into the New Patient dialog box.  This is useful when adding a spouse or child to the patient database since much of the data on the new patient will be the same as their relative's data.

Complete the fields as appropriate.  Select Save to save the Patient's demographic data.
